My New Mini Laptop

Hi everyone! I'm writing this from my newly bought Netbook or as some people would say Mini Laptop. It's quite cool but the only thing is when I play games sometimes the whole thing doesn't fit on the screen. Anyway this was just a mini blog post to pass the time so that I can get to 200 posts before the year ends. So now all I gotta say is l8a's!

One of the most Funniest Movies I have ever watched!!!

Hello! Haven't heard from me in a while but I'm good, life's good and I hope you are good. But today I'm going to tell you about this insanely funny movie that I have watched. It is a South African the movie called Shucks tShabalala (That last word is Sha-ba-la-la). It is about this guy named Leon Schuster (pronounced Shuush-ster) and his friend Shortie (who is honestly quite short) who go undercover as different people (well Shortie doesn't). It's like the South African version of Punk'd except he goes undercover. Some of the jokes are kind of ones that South Africans will understand but not really kiwi's but it is really funny and if you type Shucks tShabalala into Youtube it will come up with little snippets of the movie. Any way it's all up to you whether you watch or not and I hope you do!

Victorious Winners!

This time I can say that the Bulls won both at heart and literally!!! 43-17!!! Beating the Chiefs at the Bulls home ground Loftus Versfeld!!! My 4 fav players on the team are (in order from most to kind a most) Morne Steyn, Pierre Spies, Fourie Dupreez and Bakkies Botha!! This is how you pronounce them (Mourn-ay Stain, Pierre Speece, Foory Do-pree-(a)  and Buck-eees Bow-tha)
Pierre Spies has finally scored a try after not scoring a try this whole year and I'll tell you later on why it's so special for him to score a try later on in the year. ANYwho  in previous blogs I have explained the reason why I support the Bulls... It's because I've met them face to face!!! When they first came my dad picked them up... when they arrived I looked in through the window and all I could say was

"Is that Morne Steyn in the window?" Anywho they won AND they beat the Chiefs. Anyway Bye!!

Everyone makes mistakes!

Here is something really stupid that I did today:

Today I was making Banana Cake...In my house I am the baker...I am also number 1 mess maker because sometimes I forget to clean up after myself... anyway I was doing really well with my banana cake and we needed self-raising flour for the mixture, but we didn't have any. So mum went on google and asked how much baking powder to a cup of flour. I thought that meant we were replacing self-raising flour with baking powder...so I left out the flour. The cake was in the oven and mum came to check how I was doing. She asked me why the cake looked really watery... I said because there was heaps of milk and only 3 teaspoons of baking powder...What? came the reply. I said if we had self-raising flour it would have been thicker. No! Mum quickly took out the cake. What is wrong with that? I said to my self It's not such a big thing substituting the self-raising flour with baking powder?
"Ha ha" Mum was laughing?
"Atarah what I meant was that you add 3 teaspoons of baking powder to the 2 cups of normal flour!"
"Ha ha" My sisters started laughing, I went red in the face and I could feel my ears hot with embarrassment. I ran upstairs to my room. I don't like being laughed at. After a while I came back and tried to do it again but it didn't work. The time that I spent in my room was good thinking time. I realised that everyone makes mistakes! Some could be big ones like not getting insurance for you  car and some could be little like forgetting an ingredient when baking or cooking. I realised in order for Thomas Edison to invent the light bulb he had to fail 10,000...I realised that everyone has to be a failure before being successful.

Anyway I have the confidence to write this because after I came back downstairs I was sitting and all of a sudden started laughing. I also learnt that laughing with people about mistakes that you have made is much better than sulking in your room. Anywho if you are from room 17 '2010' you'll know that I'm quite smart (If I say so myself) and everyone knows that the main ingredient in nearly all baking is flour... so how did this smart girl forget a vital ingredient in baking? That is a question I am still asking myself and I've come up with a brilliant answer EVERYONE MAKES MISTAKES! Anyway I don't care if people who are reading this think I'm dumb because you know what it was quite silly for me to do that and now all I have left to say it LOL!!! and Peace Out!!!:p

Wowzers!!! It's been long since I've blogged. Anyway life's been good for me so far and I'm in my schools production and I'm a class leader. Anywho this post is about The Reds and Bulls Rugby game on the 16th of April. It was a pretty exciting game and I'll tell you about it:

The games first try went to Quade Cooper (or as I like to call him Super Cooper...if you wanna know why just look at how he kicks conversions and penalties:

Anyway as I watched this game I found out there are more then one reasons why Mr.Cooper is Super... Anywho. There's this awesome player on the Bulls side called Bjron Basson (pronounce Bee-on Buss-on)

and he scored 2 tries for the BULLS!!! YAY!! But still that wasn't enough to beat the mighty Reds who won with 6 tries (I think). Anyway this time the Bulls didn't lose very badly with the end score being 39-30. At least they didn't get 0. I think that the Bulls may have a chance of beating the Western Force who they will be playing in their next game... Yes 2 Australian Teams in a row!!! But I do hope that they can win. BTW the title of this post is A Losing Victory because even though they lost they still won... In my Mind! Don't worry Bulls you'll always be winners to me!!!:p

Hi again. In Rangview Intermediate each class has a girl and boy class leader and a girl and boy deputy. I am the girl class leader in my class and I would like to tell you that. Anyway as class leader I get to stand at the front of the line. If anyone mucks around in the line they have to apologise to me and the other class leader and the deputy's. It's quite cool being a leader in the class but it's a big responsibility. Okay now dad put the Japan Eartquake stuff back on so I'll wait. Okay Rugby back on and... now dad changed it again and now NZ is on tsunami warning. So this is a warning if you are in NZ stay away from all places near the ocean beacause now WE have a tsunami warning as well as Australia, Russia and other countries. Anyway the Rugby that I'm watching is an hour delayed but I'll just tell you who wins... the Crusaders. They whacked the Brumbies at A BRILLIANT 52-10 taking out a bonus point due to them scoring SEVEN tries!!!! So laters!!

Okay as I told you before Brumbies leading by 7 and Crusaders nil but just as I started writing Mr. (Dan) Carter kicked a penalty. Score now is 3-7. Crusaders playing well. Crusaders got ball the ball from the scrum. Okay missed some of the game because I had to go get the charger for this laptop cause it was running out of battery, but now Dan's kicking a penalty and he kicks...  HE SCORESSSS!!... DARRN adverts!!! :( Dooo Dooo Dumm Deee Daaa Drraaa Dreee Drrray Drroooo  (listen to the nice WAITING FOR THE ADVERTS TO FINISH music)... waiting.... waiting... now mum says I have to get off the laptop so my sisters can go on and watch a movie (because we're watching Rugby on TV) so goodbye and I'll continue on my dad's laptop... darn adverts are over so better be quick!

Breaking News!

OMG!!! First Christchurch now Japan!!! Well of course it was obvious they're on the same fault line anyway... hold the phone. I'm going to fast. It's just so overwhelming and soooo sad. Christchurch got hit by an earthquake and now Japan... but this one bigger. Anyway the original magnitude of the quake was 7.9 then upgraded to 8.4 and now most recent level is 8.9. I think the highest point on the Richter Scale is 10... but there has never been one recorded that high. But you never know with nature.  It sometimes can be a beautiful thing but other times it's just horrible. Anyway here is a quick table to show you something about the Richter Scale:

Okay lets keep going with the news. The quake has caused massive tsunami's and on TV right now I'm watching live footage of the tsunami just washing cars and people and houses and factories and just people's lives and everything they own just washing everything away... Brumbies beating the Crusaders 7-Nil.

The game was actually between the Lions and the Bulls... I got it wrong! Sorry but anyway there is one thing that I didn't get wrong... my dad got the date wrong! It wasn't Saturday it was Sunday... and guess what on Saturday I went to bed at 2am and then woke up at 5am so only 3 hours of sleep, my dad flicks through the channels for the game and then realises that went it said Saturday it meant Saturday for South Africa... NOT  for New Zealand because when it's Saturday 5am here in New Zealand it's Friday 5pm in South Africa... anyway:

The Bulls won 24-22 and I think that, that's bad because the Lions were at the bottom of the table last year and now the Bulls are struggling to win... but they did... and Gerhard Van Den Heeven or something like that, scored an awesome try... so bye??

Super 14 Coming Up!!!

Sorry. I'm just so excited because the Super 14 is nearly here!!! Yay!!!! Tomorrow (19th of Feb 2011) I will be watching one of my first Rugby Union games of this year 2011!! Well I've watched a Sevens game but tomorrow will be my first Rugby Union one for THIS year! I'm watching Bull's vs Stormers...I think but I don't really mind who wins because they're both South African teams. This means waking up at 6:00am to watch Rugby when usually I wouldn't wake up till Lunch or after Lunch on a normal Saturday!

You know some of my dad's cousin's still can't get their heads around me being 2 years away from High School (I can't either) but they will have to. Anyway, Intermediate school's are way bigger than Primary Schools so there's around 1,000 people in my school! I'm in a class of 30 something! Anyway favourite thing about my Intermediate is the Tuck shop... wait let me say that again:

Holiday's Nearly Over!!!!

Hello!!! The Holiday's are nearly over and I'm nearly starting my first year of Intermediate!!! Yay!!! I don't know whether I'm happy or sad because I'm feeling both happy and sad because one of my friends from Primary, who I've only known for one year is moving overseas and the last time I saw her was on the last day of school and I won't be able to see here again because she's going to live "there" permanently, or at least for a few years. So I'm kinda sad and happy at the same time... I've got my stationery and I had to buy a Recorder (instrument not a tape recorder) which is kinda new for me... for all you kids out there who live in New Zealand The Rugby World Cup has affected our holiday's and terms.. in a good way!!! So bye bye and get ready for school and work (adults get ready for work and kids get ready for... a fiesta!!!) just kidding kids get ready for a type of work... school work!!Yay... wait Ohhhh so bye!!!
